I feel like I just got hit by a brick wall.
There’s nothing like a film about dealing with old memories and family members who aren’t here or are here on this earth. And what Charlotte Wells does with this film is absolutely stunning. When I started it I thought to myself I would cry. But I was a bubbly over mess as the film went on.
Paul Mescal did something in this film which such intrigue and value that it’s one of the best performances I’ve seen this decade.
I can’t stress how poignant this film is and how affecting it can get. The under pressure sequence is one of the best and the final moment is absolutely stunning.
If I would have one thing to say to finish this off,
Call that friend to check in, tell your mom and dad you love them and make sure that the love you share is the love you want back.
