Avengers: Endgame
It’s difficult to call Endgame a movie, I’ve always referred to it as a finale. You can’t really treat it as a movie when it’s concluding 11 years of films and stories.
A very common (and nit-picky) criticism is that the film is 3 hours of fan service and my response to that is so what? It’s difficult for me to be rational and objective about the Avengers films but Endgame especially. You can just feel how much the writers cared about these characters and doing right by them, and it’s so clearly shown through all of the references the film makes.
I remember watching this in the cinema catching most, if not all, references and it made me so unbelievably happy. I sat in the cinema watching the Portals scene thinking this was everything I had ever dreamed of. Captain America wielding Mjölnir brings me such an unbelievable amount of happiness that I still feel to this day. Tony Stark’s death still makes me cry just because of how perfect the ending is for his character.
I could just scream about this movie.
