Now this is a real fucking movie Honestly, I had absolutely no expectations going into this movie. I thought the main hype surrounding this would just be the fact that Matt and Ben were in it together. Boy was I WRONG. This was a great, intense and story dense movie.I did not expect the plot twist(s), the natural acting, just wow. Matt Damon and Ben Affleck. You bloody legends you.

So, initially, I did not have the words to describe this film. One that does is *unreal * I cannot believe that I have witnessed this film in my lifetime. First of all, the colour scheme is so meaningful and symbolic, such as the grey shades with the orange in the scene with Circe, indicating the grey morals of the men and the underlying anger of her with the orange tint. The hasty eating showing the greed of humanity - I could go on and on and on. Matt Damon's presence is so purposeful, him being on the screen itself is an event to witness. When he kept on saying I need to remember, I need to remember, I tried to remember and I was not even eligible to remember! I also thought the scene with Cyclops where he provokes Odysseus to hit him with the arrow was great, it highlighted the emotional nature of humans, how we HAVE to have the last word. Overall, just nothing but admiration. Anne Hathaway blows me away, especially with the line delivery of "I have been sitting on an empty throne for 20 years!" The anger and the betrayal in Penelope's voice, the realisation of how she can never satisfy her kingdom despite being the true monarch because of misogyny, amazing. Robert Pattinson, I love it when you make me hate you. You were such a coward in this film, great great great body language. I was disappointed on how little screentime Zendaya had, until I realised the weight of her character. How she was the conscious of Odysseus, why she was the reason that he was not ready to come home. It was important how she was not angry with him, but just a constant presence to remind him, to reason with him, something the Greeks never did with the Trojans. He was the man from the sea. I loved it. Christopher Nolan, my guy, do you sleep???

A Jeff Goldblum movie is always the correct choice
