Arrival
Been in my watchlist for ages and I finally got around to watching it 🙏 I honestly expected the plot to go in a completely different direction, but what it actually turned into was way cooler and way more emotional than I thought it’d be. The whole concept was so interesting without feeling overcomplicated, and it’s one of those sci-fis that just pulls you in immediately and keeps you locked in the entire time. My eyes were glued to the screen 🔥
The cinematography was insane too, every shot felt so intentional and atmospheric, and the pacing was perfect for the kind of tension and intensity the film builds. Nothing felt rushed but it never dragged either, it just slowly pulls you deeper into everything that’s happening. And the soundtrack was amazinggg, it matched the tone and vibe perfectly the whole way through. Pretty sure the composer also worked on one of my favourites by Villeneuve, so I’m not surprised at all honestly. Peak film 🙏
