Holy Shit. After watching I just had to keep saying wow over and over again. I was so late, and i do so regret not watching this in the theaters. That would've been an otherworldy experience. Like damn. This movie is a masterpiece, you people can call it boring. But u can't call this a bad movie. Omg the acting, the atmosphere, the cinematography, the songs?? Immaculate bitch. That aspect ratio changed when Sammy played his guitar at the juke... that was fucking heavenly. I was gagged, I was holding my breath. Literally the best scene in the entire movie. And the black music history representing each era?? Bye, they literally ate. The sound design is brilliant, you can really feel every emotion. In some scenes you feel love, happy, then terror. Literally gagging. Don't even get me started on the actingggggggg. EVERYONE ATE THEIR ROLE. NOT ONE PERSON WAS SLACKING. Thats the only thing that i would say here cause theres just oo much i wanna say and i dont wanna type it all in here. Then the script? This shit emotional, heavy, FUNNY, and scary. There's too many lines from this movie that I love. I CANT WRITE DOWN ALL OF THEM. Also... that ending, when it was revealed that Sammy decided to escape that so called "church" who surpresses gifts from God, and then the shot where we see Sammy in the 90s playing his guitar riff... That part gurl... that was the perfect fucking ending. BYE ATE. RECCOMEND THIS TO EVERYONE. IT WAS SO GOOD
