ROMCOMS ARE SO BACK. i loved this with every part of my heart this movie is so perfect, i genuinely thought this was based off of a book?? and it’s not?? like dang netflix good job the concept of this movie was genius because what do you mean he fell in love with her before he even saw her?? and flew all the way to san francisco for HER!!!! my turn when and the chemistry was insane the actor choices were literal perfection please put nick robinson in more romcoms ok?? i also really appreciated mike chang being in this? and benson boone for that one scene is a bold choice but okay i didn’t know whether to laugh or cry for actually any scene in this movie now that i think about it BECAUSE WHAT DO YOU MEAN HE LEFT A VOICEMAIL FOR HER SISTER.

we’ve lost the plot they didn’t even have a kissing booth in this one (no the end doesn’t count). but why do they keep making these genuinely every character pisses me off except maybe lee?? then again he’s with rachel and that really pisses me off AND WHAT WAS THAT HAIRCUT

someone said this was like finding nemo if the dad was a stoner and an alcoholic and i completely agree with that but seriously, this movie was not that bad. did i choose to watch this? no. i was finally forced to watch it and yes it was really long but there are so many genres in this and it has really good writing. i did not expect to like this.

“*Is it better to speak or to die?*” oh my lord why does this masterpiece of a movie exist. how does one move on with their life after watching this? i’ve watched it before, although it was a long time ago and i don’t remember much but at my age right now actually oh my god. the aesthetics of the movie, the characters, the relationship dynamics between different characters, the small details, the plot, THE ENDING?? this movie starts off a bit slow but then really picks up, a relationship between elio and oliver forms, leading them to fall in love, i find it interesting that they were both talking to girls who thought they liked them, right as their relationship was picking up, like they even slept together. and the fact that it was going literally so well, they were so in love, elio even went with him before he left completely, just for it to have that HORRIBLE ENDING (jk it gives it more meaning and emotion). but for real what do you mean the movie keeps going… after mystery of love plays?? no it doesn’t! and the conversation with elio and his father is so deep omg and the fact that the dad ADMITTED he had something close?? and the mom never even knew?? and then fast forward when it’s winter.. what do you mean oliver found someone. a.. girl???? WHAT HAPPENED TO MY GAY ITALIAN BOYS. you aren’t supposed to find actual girls what the heck but none the less this movie will forever hold such a sacred place in my heart. i’m so grateful that this live action version of luca exists.
