Squid Game

I forgot that if you have a movie logged already that it will ignore the spoiler warning! Don’t make the same mistake as me!
Anyway yeah I can agree with everyone else. The ending was a little disappointing but I still liked the season quite okay! I’ll start with the positives:
-The game of tag was really creative and thrilling to watch. It was shot insanely well and I liked the little details of having other players run around in the background while we’re watching them.
-Nam-Gyu was a great antagonist and I genuinely viewed him as a threat. I’m disappointed with how easy they killed him off, though.
This leads into my negatives…
Yeahhhhh I think they killed off a lot of characters too easy. After the tag game, we were left with only six important characters so it was pretty obvious who the last three were gonna be.
When the baby was first born, I said “no way a baby is gonna win the squid games” as a JOKE but like okay sure?? It’s not like super annoying to me so I don’t have much to say it’s just whatever sure that’s fine
This season also just lacked a central main plot. In previous seasons, it focused more around 456 trying to find hope in the hell that is the games, and this season hardly had any of him, especially in the first half! I completely forgot he existed in the first game for a little while because of how little they did with him.
It also didn’t help that they chose to kill off all the main characters of the last season in the first game. This made me not really have anyone to root for, and it was kind of just “alright let’s see how 456 survives against the rest of these guys”. Like, I knew 456 would be the last player alive, because they didn’t leave any other character that would have a significant impact if they actually won the games.
But yeah all three seasons Squid Game are great. I have problems with this season and it’s not as great as the past two but it really wasn’t a bad way to wrap it up. Overall great great show but yeah I wish there was more in season 3.
