*"loving people doesn't save them. love has no say, unfortunately."* yeah okay my chest feels heavy now thanks a lot xavier dolan. i'll be thinking about this forever and will definitely be revisiting this

the colour palette inspired by macarons? i love it even more. cool to know they actually shot it in versailles, and the film is visually stunning. you can really tell sofia coppola understood exactly what it needed to be. the dresses, the art direction, she’s just genius #ilovemacarons

gosh this movie is awesome. the soundtrack is fire and i’m literally listening to it while writing this. it’s the epitome of a quotable movie and i so badly wish i had grown up with it. what i did love as a kid though was nacho libre, also directed by jared hess. throughout the movie i saw glimpses of my own childhood in the awkwardness and failures of the main characters. that dance scene is epic and iconic, especially knowing it was improvised. one day i will learn that dance this movie captures the very essence of boredom and mediocrity. it follows the daily life of a dorky guy doing ordinary things in a small town. it’s a tribute to the everyday moments you have no reason or desire to remember. not your typical coming of age story, it’s a unique, comedic masterpiece that celebrates the humour in everyday life. and apparently there’s an animated adaptation too. definitely watching that asap
