Midnight in Paris
it is so fucking beautiful. the Paul guy and owen wilsons character are literally 2 sides of myself and they keep fighting in my head and it resonated with me so well. and oml the beauty of Paris and the dreamy streets and the cute little kiosks and dim lighted streets everything about it makes me want to go there.
as a teenager having lived a fulfilling life, i keep reminiscing about those moments and I feel like I'm stuck in the past and this movie just fixed it(mostly) because, Yes "nostalgia is denial, denial of the melancholic present " and
"yes the present is a little unsatisfying because sometimes life is a little unsatisfying"
fell in love with all the artists and the dialogues and the story and the atmosphere.
you don't see movies that significantly change your perspective too often.
