La Chimera

I really loved it! Atmospheric, quiet and contemplative while still really emphasizing the themes of the movie.  The ways in which the past is cannibalized by the people of the present in rural Italy is juxtaposed with the careful repurposing of the old railway station by the single mothers, renewing the past with purpose. Obviously the “you weren’t meant for human eyes” line is really impactful and i think the final scene is really beautiful.  Super well shot, written and directed. And who doesn’t love a rural Italian setting.
