Parasite
"They're nice because they are rich"
Nerve-racking film about a poor family of four, that leaves their shame behind to infiltrate a chaebol family and suck out all the money they can get. "Parasites".
The irony of the film was top-tier, the sordid details all serve the purpose of further making the viewer dislike everyone. No one is safe, the film shames and makes fun of every single character in a chaotic social satire that in the end leads to a class criticism. All the while, there was not a single boring moment, the action was quick, concise but not lacking. The "haughty" and dramatic classical sound-tracks elevated the action and highlighted the self-righteousness of the upper-class while the cinematography kept, even the most stomach-turning moments in a perfectly organized aesthetic. And in the end I was left thinking about that film and the world (the questions it inspired about it) for days. So I guess the social criticism brought by the crudity and roughness of the film was a complete success.
