Adolescence
normally i leave stupid one liner reviews, but i can’t often say that something moves me as much as this show did. as an older sister to an impressionable young boy, it’s a constant fear of mine that one day, he’ll fall victim to the same things as jamie, and that hatred will twist around in his head, making him unrecognisable. the show’s last ten minutes showed me what would happen if we fail innocent children like this. my brother is in all regards my best friend and the thought of losing him to this terrifies me. adolescence has taught me not only to keep a close eye on him, but also to make sure i teach him how to express himself and not feel the need to seek validation from others. it taught me to remind him every single day of what an incredible brother he is and what an amazing young man he will become. i hope i never have to mourn the boy he is the way the millers mourned who their son was. and, oh my god, every cast member deserves at least 5 emmys holy shit
