Why does Adam Sandler love giving me anxiety like that ? I honestly enjoyed this « Forest Gump-like » vibe and visually the film has very interesting things to offer. I should’ve done my research more thoroughly because I wasn’t expecting the whole plot revolving around a very particular personality. You really feel what it’s like living in this constantly overwhelming environment that Barry lives in. Everything from the visuals to the sounds and even the social interactions makes you feel that awkwardness that really gives this movie a unique aspect to it. Once you get used to it, you can feel the whole tenderness of this unique relationship he shares with this mysterious Lena. Man I love seeing Adam Sandler acting in good movies, a talented actor that is way too often overlooked and classified in the « funny guys » of Hollywood although he can perform great things with the right movies.
