Ran

First Kurosawa watched. This film has been rotting in my watchlist forever now. I guess I was scared that Kurosawa’s cinema wouldn’t be as great as I expected but I was so damn wrong. However, even though this film deserves a long critique about how brilliant it is, I believe there are many great critique writers who’ve already done a great job at writing about this true work of art so I’ll pass my mediocre review. Whoever sees my review and hasn’t seen the film, yall need to do it asap, it’s non-negotiable and I swear to everything I own that you’ll love it and that the 160min of length will barely feel like 90min. The thing I truly love the most about cinema are visuals and deep meanings, symbolism, etc. This movie combines all of it in such a beautiful and dramatic manner so it just might end up in my top 4, really amazed by this film.
