probably my favorite world building in film **"they're attuned to the desert. part of it. it's part of them."** love how it shows the different ways a world's inhabitants interact with the environments around them, how their relationship with these environments shape culture and its values, and in turn reveals key themes the series wants to comment on. the visuals, sound design, and score only got me further immersed.  **"on arrakis we have done all we can for you. a path has been laid."** you can pick apart so much in this series, but was most interested in and noticed commentary on how religion is used as a tool to justify colonialism and maintain social hierarchy.  **"and who will our next oppressors be?" ** also appreciate how paul's character is a direct critique of the white savior trope.
