Another Round
*This film can be summed up in one word: MASTERPIECE.*
*
- It's amazing from start to finish. A family man, with a mental and social disorder, does not know what he is doing and why, he only follows a routine, a slave to his own routine, he became blinded by monotony and that caused problems around him, without him noticing.
- Little by little, each time we advance further in the film, we are investigated more about the problems of the characters, "subtle" problems but that affect their mentality, thus causing internal conflicts, depression, anxiety, monotony, not knowing what to do or any state of mind and conflict with life.
This movie has an execution that is just perfect and a perfect plot development.
- It touches incredible themes of today's society, it is a social criticism and also a message of love and prosperity towards today's society, especially adults with great responsibilities, escapism, suicide and also bad organization.
Also about a person's own freedom, knowing how to adapt to oneself and think internally.
**- The performances are just perfect.
**The voices, accent, tonality, scope, body and visual message, each movement is an art performance, why? Because all acting is executed in a very natural way, it doesn't seem like they are acting, even the most miserable secondary character makes it great.
- It is a risky theme, but they have managed to do it incredibly well.
- The cinematography is a total beauty, as are the colors used. It's not like it's a movie like Blade Runner 2049 in the color aspect, but it's very good, it's subtle.
- The pacing is another great thing, you can't get bored, it's a plot that hooks you from the beginning and it's a movie that goes by too fast.
*
*- And here, the end.*
*I read reviews and comments from people saying the ending is perfect... Now I get it, the ending is TOTALLY CRAZY, it's definitely art, it's unbelievably perfect.
*
*Monotony.
**Study.
**Ambition.
**escapism.
**Consequences.
**Redemption.
*Freedom.

- I have loved the fact that Martin has chosen his own freedom, to be a slave of a relationship that has no future, he does not let himself be stepped on. He enjoys it, but he is aware of his motive, of his "woman". He doesn't let it escape her mind, he talks to her constantly on the phone at the end, she regrets it, but he ignores her, he brings Tommy up on the subject to take that pressure off, to break that thread, but she can't .
Later we see how he enjoys it, but he is still not completely loose, he is still chained, he sits on the bench, and looks at his mobile, but the message is not shown on the screen, possibly Anika has written something else to him, but it does not come out ( there is also something to emphasize, a boat leaves and the owner is not seen, it is a symbolism of Tommy, and in part, it makes Martín think even more) Why? Simply at that moment, Martin, lets her go, it's not worth it anymore, he must be him again, enjoy his own life and unleash himself, he prefers not to respond anymore, he gets up from the bank, from jail and now yes... It's totally FREE.
- Mads Mikkelsen has always struck me as an actor with an imposing aura, as mysterious, charming, I've only met him for a short time, but I have fallen in love with his performances and his voice accent, I don't think he has any bad movies at the acting level (at least unless you have seen). But in this movie, he has excelled, he has brought out that reserved potential, it is possibly the best performance he has had alongside Hannibal and The Hunt, "small gestures make a big difference" phrase said by Martin himself, and this the actor confirmed. He performs magnificently when it comes to acting, the slightest facial or physical movement is incredible and he does it great, from the beginning to the end. Specifically at the end, he is totally insane.
A movie that no one should miss, a gem.
- This film is the love of life, with its ups and downs.
a look at him
Kierke's Existentialism, Kierkegaard one of the leading philosophers of the existentialist movement. He was born in Denmark in a time of war and anguish and the most important thing that led him to develop these themes is that he had to make the decision not to marry the woman of his life because he had to continue his philosophy studies and find his mission. of life. This strong fact led him throughout his career to consider issues such as the anguish and freedom of man, decision-making and the power of change. The human being as a vulnerable and infallible being. this must be taken very seriously
account, because throughout this film: the Another Round. We see how Martín questions himself all the time about his life. He has achieved what for many means feeling fulfilled. He has a family and a beautiful wife, but he does not feel happy.
He is a great teacher and enjoys a good job, but he cannot transmit or connect with his students. What he knows for Martin in his friends alcohol represents a last desperate attempt to change for the better in his life. In the end, this works as a catalyst to show them the meaning of life, living is not about finding the perfect side to things, sometimes not everything turns out as you expected, there is neither good nor bad, it is not a movie that seeks portray the catastrophic side of alcohol, but neither
likes to glorify its consumption. Druk (Another Round) tells us about the love of life and celebrating it even with all the disappointments it can bring.
At the end of the film we see how Martín begins to dance while his students celebrate his graduation. He is completely liberated, to enjoy life both with the good and the bad that it can give him. The dance that he had proposed from the beginning of the film up to this moment replicates the transformation that he has undergone. For Kierkegaard, humans are free, we can make the decision to change, even if that sometimes means making the wrong decision, and sometimes falling. We are fallible and vulnerable beings, but that is precisely what gives us the opportunity to move forward to be better, living means being willing, a leap of faith.
Few movies have made me feel so many feelings together and above all the feeling of happiness, I love this.
