The Shining
As expected, Stanley Kubrick didn't disappoint.
I've noticed a pattern after watching a few of his films, there's something about the way he uses color and backgrounds that immediately stands out to me. Every frame feels so carefully composed that even the hotel itself starts feeling like a character.
Jack Nicholson was phenomenal. The further the film goes, the more unsettling he becomes, and he completely owns every scene he's in.
A beautifully crafted psychological horror that absolutely lived up to the hype.
