Bennett Abeson

An absolute classic for a reason.  Special effects hold up brilliantly, much better than a new hope. What else is there to be said? It’s the empire strikes back, cmon now.

I don’t really know how to explain why this film impacts me so much. It’s seemingly a mundane, quiet, slice of life, but the acting, cinematography, score, when put together make it something so much more than that. It’s a profound, sad yet inspiring journey of a man who’s lost his way — and it hits so hard for me.  Side note, William H Macy is incredible and I really wish he was getting some Oscar buzz.
