Multiple Maniacs

currently reading cookie mueller's "walking through clear water in a pool painted black". she reflects back on her time working with john waters and the dreamland gang, recalling her memories fondly. as i've been reading through, and as i watched multiple maniacs, i can't help but think what a special time it all was. something like this could probably never be made again. i think maybe trash humpers by harmony korine was the closest thing to give me a similar feeling. as always, waters is the master of blending high-low, absolute comedy, and feel good perversion.
