Backrooms

This could’ve been cut down by 30 minutes and still gotten its point across. - “You’re supposed to feel isolated and anxious and blah blah blah” yes I understand that believe me, I love the Backrooms concept…. the suspense just doesn’t translate well into a two hour movie. - I told my boyfriend it was “too well lit” lmao there wasn’t any mystery, I felt like I was handed a lukewarm version of the Backrooms and then had it fed to me like a baby. - Now maybe it’s because I watched Obsession last week and loved it and that built my expectations… I know they’re two extremely different movies but THAT movie made me anxious!!! there was a mystery to it, you didn’t know what the fuck was gonna happen next. With this one I felt like I could see exactly what was gonna happen after the first encounter with the entity. With Obsession it felt like something new, it felt like it added to the horror genre…. this one fell flat. - Also the entity at the end kinda looked like momo and it crushed all the hope I had left for the movie.
