We’re portraying the world from claire’s perspective but beneath that bizarre visuals there’s this cruel reality of child neglect letting us see how children may use imagination as a coping mechanism to survive the emotional trauma ,how the adults characters symbolize a form of ignorance and neglect all while playing cheerful music btw creating this sense of discomfort . My fav thing about this project that people recognize this irl in one way or another that emotional realism is what gives opal its impact. This was so fun to analyze :)
