had me hooked from the BEGINNING  also that ending scene was so visually stunning with the fireworks ugh 💔💔💔

"have you ever felt as if you don't belong anywhere, and just want to live in a place where no one knows you?" this was soo sooooooo so beautiful.  suzuko is filled with shame from her past mistakes so she is constantly restarting and moving in search of a way to live without the fear of being judged. through her journey she learns that moving from place to place and changing jobs is only a temporary fix. the only way she can ever stop being "lost" is by her facing herself and accepting imperfections.  "i thought i was a stronger person, but i'm not. family or lovers, the key to a long relationship, i thought was not telling each other the most important things. i thought i could avoid troubles and live peacefully by simply agreeing and laughing; to eventually end up a relationship where no one can say what they feel is very unfortunate. i think when people meet, they must eventually part. because i'm scared of the parting i was escaping from it. but i just realized that we part in order to meet others."

WHAT A MOVIE. what makes Marty Supreme so great is that we see someone who has this dream that's larger than life and it utterly consumes his entire being. although his ego is almost the size of his drive and desire to win and be great, Marty is a perfect depiction of self-belief, finding yourself and your purpose in life and also realizing that humanity and love is the ultimate prize.  i've never rooted for someone in a film THIS HARDtimothée gave such an incredible performance holy shit give him his Oscar NOW MARTY SUPREME not christmas day butNEW YEAR'S EVE !!!
