Squid Game
“we are not horses,
we are humans.
humans are…”
i binged S3 yesterday and needed to take time to recover because that was straight up emotional torture…so sad but so good.
the VIPs this season caught me off guard. i was like English?? in Squid Game??? and their dialogue was lowkey kinda weird, i didn’t really like their acting (except maybe the guy with the long hair).
overall thoughts for each season:
S1: 4/5, iconic, could’ve been a stand-alone story and honestly it would’ve been perfect. cried a few times with character deaths (Ali, Ji-yeong, Sae-byeok; even the old man when they trick us into thinking he gets killed). i didn’t initially care much for the ending but i don’t mind it as much now that i’ve watched the rest of the series.> S2: 3/5, didn’t like it as much as S1 but was still good. mostly felt like it was building up to S3, which was fine. had some new interesting games and i liked the inclusion of the voting after every game. ending was crazy.> S3: 3.5/5, everyone that i cared about died (as usual) but including Gi-hun?! i was shocked, but was also thinking he might die. reveals at the end that the games are happening in the States too?? are they making another show then? i kinda hope they don’t and just choose to leave it open-ended. and you’re gonna tell me that Jun-ho spent years searching for this place only to ask his brother “why?” like wow lol
