The Red Shoes
The first half of this drags, but the second half really does make up for that. The score being built in is always incredible (Mr. Hollands Opus flashbacks.) As an enjoyer of all of the arts this scratched all my itches, but it somehow feels older than it is. The Wizard of Oz came out almost a decade before this which is absolutely crazy.
INSANE visual effects for the period, great score, and good acting. The actual “The Red Shoes” part of this was so peak. Also the most sparkly water I’ve ever seen.
