Almost Famous

One of my all time favorites. The semi autobiographical story of Cameron Crowe was shown to me at a young age, and I feel like I gain new insight every time I watch it. Anchored by great performances by the whole cast, with the scene stealing Billy Crudup as Russell Hammond, it’s hard not to enjoy every minute of this film. A coming of age story in two ways. A young mans journey to adulthood, and a man who needs to act his own age, and man up. A tale of love, loss, and rock & roll. I love this movie, so much. Also, one of the best performances by the late, great, Philip Seymour Hoffman.
