Lady Bird
It’s been years since I’ve seen this, but tonight was my wife’s first time. I can’t say much here because it’s just a perfectly executed film on all fronts. Performances, script, directing, all of it. One thing I want to point out is how fantastic the world building is. The world of Lady Bird feels lived in. Every character you meet has their own life, their own story separate from Christine. They don’t exist merely to bounce off her, they’re real people. It makes this movie feel so genuine. Maybe tomorrow we take a jump back in time and check out Greta Gerwig’s other Saorsie Ronan/Timothée Chalamet venture Little Women.
