Stand by Me

my dumbass really didn’t realize the whole time that it was just Gordie mourning and reminiscing about his childhood after reading about Chris’s death in the newspaper at the beginning 😭 this movie hurts in the most nostalgic way possible. It makes it impossible not to think about the friends you had when you were twelve and how big everything felt back then. I loved Chris and Gordie’s friendship so much, they truly needed each other, and they really embodied “Stand by Me.” imo. The ending is so bittersweet, knowing it’s all just Gordie looking back at him
