i’m really not the target audience for this lmao. i’ve never been a kpop enjoyer but it’s crazy how many scenes are thrown in there to throw people off the scent of exploitation in the idol industry. also the anti-miscegenation propaganda is CRAZY and there’s no effort put in the script to address it. korea is never beating the racism allegations

i think i need to rewatch this but it’s pretty great! i’ve only watched one other wim wenders film (paris, texas) but it’s interesting how preoccupied wenders is with children and the family unit, and how kids interact with circumstances they don’t understand. also it goes without saying that dennis hopper killed it, and he has incredible chemistry with bruno ganz
