Bottoms is the most quotable movie of the century. "They don't hate us for being gay. They hate us for being gay, ugly and untalented." "Seriously? I got faggot number 2 this time? You're the sidekick not me." "Momento mori." “Momento amoris.”

What a movie! Chaos from the beginning and I loved every second of it. Genuinely cackled when Jackie showed up ginormous and grabbed Lou’s dad like a fucking chicken tender. This movie had such a weird and unique vibe that I haven’t seen anywhere else before. A24 rarely disappoints and this is absolutely no exception!

This was nothing like I expected, and I loved it. This is the kind of movie I can have fun watching, not taking it too seriously but still finding the plot and cinematography choices really interesting. The acting was fantastic from all three main characters, and I genuinely spent the entire movie flip flopping from whether whether Teddy was right or just a crazy man. I loved the entire ending sequence and I overall found this film quite funny at times. I would definitely recommend for anyone who loves a bit of a nutter movie that is also strangely well made.

Dare I say just as good if not better than *Call Me By Your Name…* This film being based on historic events is so horrible and truly heartbreaking to know, perhaps even more so due to the fact that these things happening is never talked about even today. This story was so wonderfully told on screen, and the cinematography, writing and characters were like poetry. Every actor did an amazing job at portraying these characters, especially Owen and Dorothy. Though short lived, their dynamic was beautiful and I love how Dorothy was so supportive and wasn’t disgusted by who Owen was unlike most other people. Phillip was probably the most complex character of the entire movie, and despite understanding how things were in those days and the gravity of being a gay man back then, it just doesn’t quite stop me from hating him. The way he treated Owen was awful and intentional or not, he literally killed an innocent man in an attempt to “cure” him of an “illness” that doesn’t exist. This movie is an absolute must see if you liked cmbyn and I think it shares a really important message, providing a window into an unseen and rather ugly part of our past. *“I can’t think of an ending. The truth is too horrible.”* *“Then invent one.” * (Despite the heaviness of this film, I did giggle a little bit at the irony of Erin playing a nurse meant to ‘cure’ gay people. Like girl I think you might need a nurse yourself)

Jimmy Ink could give me charity any day and I would say thank you.
