Silence
*One of Martin Scorsese’s Best*
This film is extremely underrated and it disappoints me that I haven’t heard of it earlier, but it is a great story of faith and an accurate representation of the persecution of Christians in Japan. From a film standpoint it’s outstanding the cinematography is amazing. The dialogue is outstanding, and it’s one of the only movies that is over 2 and a half hours long and I’m never bored watching it. Overall the film alone is great and worth the watch. From a message standpoint it’s even better. It is a great religious movie and it really makes you look on your faith and the resemblance to Peter in the bible to Rodrigues even makes me like it more. Great movie that deserves more respect.**
