The Apprentice
Most people did not like this movie or believed it did not say anything new about Trump. I agree, it did not, but it showed and put to camera the man he is, the vile piece of shit, egocentric, entitled, etc., entity that he is. I am just so tired of this man, and the fact that he is what will dismantle the American experiment through pure corruption and greed angers me to my very core as a human being. He stands against every value I hold, and this movie summarizes him very well. “Donald has no shame,” and he doesn’t, and he will never have it, and he will never accept defeat, and he wins by doing so but ruins everything he touches due to this. Two monumental performances with Jeremy Strong, initially portraying this very confident conservative fundamentalist who then gets consumed by fear and regret and who suffered till the very end of his life, deservedly so. And Sebastian Stan, who quite literally becomes Trump, with some scenes even making me have double takes in which it was absurd just how equal he was to the real-life character. He catches on to the most mild of mannerisms and should most definitely win the Oscar for Best Actor. This movie is absurdly well cinematographed, and the fact it got so shoved under the rug just exemplifies how the tides of fascism have come to the United States. Sure, this movie is cheesy at times with the Reagan button and the art of the deal stuff at the end, but Trump is cheesy; he is the person who makes me have reactions just as those I had while watching those scenes. I guess what I want to say is that this movie perfectly embodies the man Donald John Trump, and god oh god why did that piece of shit Thomas Mathew Crooks miss those fucking shots?
