I don’t know if it’s just the way I feel about this film, it maybe is, but I cannot see a single flaw in this movie. Joaquin Phoenix provides us with a performance like no other, creating on screen chemistry with realistically no one is a different level of talent, not disregarding Scarlett Johansen’s undoubtedly amazing voice over during this. One of my favourite things about this movie is how it’s created such a unique and interesting world, with elements that seemed so far from our time at the release of this film, and tied it in with realistically a very simple but effective plot. The cinematography throughout this film is again some of the best I’ve seen and honestly I can’t see much topping this, they have created such a beautiful yet scary and almost threatening world in this movie and absolutely aced it. The score is also one of favourite aspects to the movie, phenomenal. If this movie doesn’t make you believe in love, I don’t know what will.
