Before Sunrise
“loving someone, and being loved, means so much to me. I always make fun of it and stuff, but isn't everything we dream in life a way to be loved a little more?"
I love this movie so much.
The long philosophical talks about life and death capture the intimacy and authenticity between Jesse and Celine is simple yet unique.
I love the moment when Celine talked about “the people bleeding in the background as if the environment is more important” is juxtaposed by the ending scene where the cut shows the places they been to and how it was empty without Jesse and Celine.
When Jesse said “do you want to go see if that listening booth still works? “ so they could have a moment alone, but they just kept looking at each other smiling and trying not to be caught by the other. They both were so shy but still wanted to kiss but they only knew each other for few hours.
The scene where they pretend to call each other’s friends. The conversation become more venerable and ‘confess’ what they feeling towards each other and how scared they are to separate the following day.
