F1
I waited so long for this movie. As someone who’s deep into F1, I still remember when they were filming during actual Grand Prix weekends and seeing the cameras mixed in with real race moments felt unreal. I was supposed to watch it in June but never made it to the cinema, and honestly I regret that so much now.
I also had mixed feelings going in, especially after hearing Simone Ashley’s role was cut down when she was meant to be a big part of it.
The second I started recognising real F1 drivers — current and old — I lost my mind. Carlos in Ferrari. Checo in Red Bull. MAX VERSTAPPEN. I was literally screaming.
The camera angles and editing were insane, you can tell this was made by people who get racing. I was genuinely stressed watching it, which says everything.
Also, random but: having been to the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2025 and seeing one of the movie cars in real life makes this hit even harder now. Full circle moment.
Random thoughts:
Hearing DRS again? Pure nostalgia.
Double DNF in the first race? Painfull.
Blaming the car — so F1-coded.
Why is everyone so cocky? very accurate.
“That was naughty.” — Max Verstappen, of course.
“Damn, he’s good.” — Sonny, yes, we know Max is good.
Seeing Leclerc and Sainz in Ferrari again just hurts 💔❤️🩹
And when JP crashes? That silence was perfect — exactly how your brain goes blank in moments like that.
Then the burn scene.
Yeah. That messed up.
The rivalry between Sonny and Joshua is INSANE. The tension actually works.
And then — Tate McRae?!
“Can you introduce me to Carlos Sainz?”-That line felt personal.
I still struggle with believing Sonny raced against Senna, Schumacher, and Prost like…
So many crashes.
Yas Marina showing up had me emotional.
Carlos’ last Ferrari race in Abu Dhabi 2024 — don’t speak to me.
Lewis Hamilton side-eyeing JP had me crying 😭
My heart was racing the entire final act.
The plot twist, well I knew it from the filming leaks, but it still landed.
Toto… please stop trying to replace your drivers 💀
I LOVE YOU, KATE. girlboss
Overall?
Wow.
This was genuinely good.
I just wish so badly that I’d seen it in the cinema.
