This movie was so good. I’m late to the game. All I had heard about it prior to watching it was that it was horror. I didn’t even know Michael B. Jordan was in it. I thought from the title “Sinners” it was some religious cult, demon type of story.  Turns out, it’s set in the 1930’s and has vampires.   You get pretty far into the movie before anything “horror” happens. So much so I forgot that it was even a horror movie in the first place. I also didn’t want it to turn horror cause I was having such a good time just following the characters do regular stuff.  Michael B. Jordan did amazing playing the twins. All the cast did great in my opinion.  I loved the dialogue, accents the actors put on, the costume, the set. It was all so well done.  That “I Liked To You” dance sequence is probably the most beautiful pieces of cinema I’ve ever seen. It gave me chills. I’ve watch that’s specific scene a couple times over already. The way the guitar comes in on the “future”. The different style outfits and dances throughout time all meshing together. It was mesmerizing.  The political message was also done in such a nice way. It wasn’t so overt and done in a way it’s always done. It was just fantastic writing.  Just a great movie.

It was super cute.
