i looooove me a good sports movie and this is a good sports movie. Adam Sandler really outside himself with his performance here. The subtleties and nuance in his facial expressions and body mannerisms blew me away. Before Bo, he's almost melancholic, shouldering the weight of regrets, failures and loneliness. You can see his eyes lighting and his actions becoming more excited when he watches Bo play for the first time. You can actually see his love for the game reignite. I found his acting to be a quiet sort of perfection and it affected me deeply. This movie's got a ton of heart and immense love for basketball.
