Training Day
This is the only movie among my favorites that is not a five star. This comes with reason. This is also the most fun watch in my favorites. While this movie deals with real life issues such as police corruption, it does it in such an exaggerated and action-packed way that it makes it entertaining. Denzel Washington and Ethan Hawke make for an almost perfect acting duo. One of my favorite scenes in movie history comes from the ending of this movie. Washington is a walking quote machine. You will never be bored watching this movie. While I could nitpick any movie m, I do have a negative with this movie. Ethan Hawkes character (Jake Hoyt) who is supposed to be the main character, feels more like a side character. While I love this character (especially with Alonzo’s son) we don’t know much about him. This one negative does bring the movie down a whole star for me, but that might just be me being to harsh. This negative is not big enough to ruin this insane and fun movie for me. I could watch this movie endlessly. 8/10 movie.
