road warriors…burning van…travelers dont take trips the trip takes travelers…lordy ts stupid the christian propaganda was almost as bad as the mercedes propaganda. demon is not demoning the way he should be. alleged sinners have shown no sin (is living together before marriage still a sin?) is stopping on the side of road to be a good samaritan a sin??? is having itsy bitsy bladder a sin? why make it christian!!!

really had me pondering on what a modern day “stoner” movie looks like. some fun concepts and unique interruptions of a drug experience. one LOL moment, few giggles, however the jokes that fell flat, fell incredibly hard and lay dead for all to see.  it was interesting to see how they sidestepped and reversed many outdated tropes, particularly relating to masculinity/femininity. but they felt like hollow changes with little understanding of the root issue.  there was a noticeable lack of sexuality compared to other films in the genre. even with mild violence, gore, drugs, and drinking it didn’t feel as though it deserved an MA rating. there was something lacking that felt like the movie was confused on its audience, often deferring towards the younger crowd. for how confusing some of the outfits were i didnt find a single one i liked. the lighting was pretty but sets were lackluster and often reminded me they were sets.  weird commentary on abuse of power and fascism? didnt really feel like it gave us anything substantial besides remind me yea great we are currently living in a fascist country. lack of actual commentary on it felt out of place, not there was really commentary on anything too much.  the fourth wall break felt like a cover for the many issues, the if we make fun of it first they cant make fun of it mentality. would rather have seen a simplified version of the film, with a focus on story and situational absurdity. many of the cgi was unneeded and i felt as though the puppets worked much better and couldve been further utilized.  always have the most to say about movies i see potential in and dont like :p
