Dune
After waiting so long for this movie, I have to say it was worth it.
I love director Denis Villinueve, he has a phenomenal track record so far and I was so happy hearing that he's at the helm for this adaption of the Cult classic sci-fi novel.
As someone who has never read the novels, the story was pretty easy to understand, though it felt like exposition was getting shoved down my throat since the start but I still liked it.
The cinematography is just gorgeous, Villineuve knows how to show scale in films and it's executed perfectly in this.
As to why it's a 4/5, well... it feels slow at times, for a movie that covers half of the first book, most of it is all setting up the characters and different houses. Action is not a huge part of the movie, which isn't what I came in expecting.
And of course, it's only Part One of Dune, so it's going to just be a big introduction to the vast universe of Dune.
But, I still love it and will definitely rewatch it again.
