Eraserhead
I believe it's easier to notice the subtext of this film if you've ever had narcissistic parents. They romanticized the idea of having a child but don't have the patient required to bear with a young kid. The main character in the film was annoyed by the baby when it laughed and when it cried, they got angry with it for portraying the emotions it is yet to understand, emotions it can't control.
Also, I found it very interesting how our protagonist's head falls off to reveal the baby inside. Most of the time, a child's "defects" are inherited or learned from watching their parents, who are then too self-centered and focused on their own pain and restlessness to notice they're the direct cause of them.
