Yipie kayak other buckets! Omg it just gets better every time. Now in the running for my all time favourite. Main thing I took away this time (along with noticing a load of new details actually) was like a Die Hard summary. The film is about a man defined by two things: He’s a family man and an NYPD officer. He makes the fateful mistake of choosing career over his wife and only learns through being a cop that the most important thing is family. One of many reasons the is clearly a Christmas movie. One of the best Cinema experiences.

Whilst both films have awesome stunts, some badass dialogue and iconic moments, Die Hard has one of those every 2 minutes but Die Hard 2 really does come in dribs and drabs. It lacks the strong direction of the first and pretty much is just a copy and paste. I do however love that it’s self aware in the sense that this never would happen to one guy twice. The final scenes are also soooooooo feel-good. Main takeaway was probably how obsessive and intrusive news/media can be; sort of Nightcrawler ideas. It doesn’t really work though and they tried too hard to force it in.

Tbh the jury’s still out. Not fussed for the characters, the plot, the animation or humour. Idk what I am fussed for but still I don’t dislike it. Nothing actually bothered me I don’t think it’s bad. It just kinda exists which is rare as I’ve been love love loving the PIXAR rewatches As always with PIXAR, there’s layers to this one so what did we learn kids? Well your parents were probably just like you when they were your age, balancing being what your parents want and being what you want is a pretty difficult task and lastly, yk what kiddo, release that inner red panda. Didn’t enjoy it as much as last time but that’s to be expected. I’d seen it recently enough to remember well and started watching when id already been sat in the cinema for 3 hours. Still think it’s great. Originally preferred the slower, more character driven stuff rather than over the top action. This seemed more like the substance to back up Volume 1s style. I now love Vol 1 too so this falls maybe a little behind. I love Micheal Masson, the Kung Fu stuff and buried alive sequences. I do love the ending although the 5 point finger magic bullshit was all a little pathetic. I love Uma Thurman credited as: The Bride,Beatrice Black Mamba Mummy The protagonist as a mother is my favourite theme of the whole project. Even though it’s clearly a male writing a female and doesn’t work sometimes, this idea clicked for me perfectly. Tarantino Ranked
