yeah

start to finish my eyes were glued to the screen. all of a sudden… BAM! ending credits. how? i thought. surely it hasn’t been 2 hours yet. i could have watched another hour, hell at least another 30 minutes. my only issue with this film is not giving me more. show some court scenes. show some backstory or flashbacks with the son. show more before skipping ahead 1 year later. the film certainly doesn’t require this, but i am left craving for it after watching such a performance by mads mikkelsen phenomenal ending scene. after seeing the alternative ending, i prefer the theatrical. much more powerful, showing a feeling that will linger until death. i also really appreciate the ambiguity of who is in the final scene. naturally, i was left wondering, but realized it does not matter who since we will never know and since they represent the community
