Couple things first off: 1. I hate a film where the events of the plot are entirely dependent on the main male character being 1 an idiot and 2 a bitch until it's absolutely necessary not to be one 2. No black person I've ever known, woman especially (and ESPECIALLY my fiance), is going to let us stay after that video David played. In fact, once David started talking using clear cult language we would've been gone The pacing does a good job of building up, but the foreshadowing with the coyote and David's response to Will saying he had to kill it was painfully obvious. What I'm saying is that it telegraphs where it's going and wastes all of the build up. And the ending is absolutely just plain fucking stupid. Pacing is all it does well.

Yeahhh just not my thing. Far too reminiscent of Megalopolis, with a better plot though for sure. I'm sure there are people who will love this but like I said it's just not for me. I think I understand what was trying to be said and that's good and all, but a movie being an allegory for something or having deeper meaning doesn't automatically make it a banger. Most of the acting is good. Sophie Thatcher and Chalres Melton are both incredible, as expected. I actually got distracted from this review for like 5 hours lmfao. I'm not even gonna try to continue any genuine critique. End of the story is it just wasn't my vibe.

Definitely better than *Evil Dead Rise *but of course it doesn't touch *Evil Dead 2013* It is starting to get repetitive, I mean the plot is always the same thing really. But it's still well done (unlike Rise). Of course I appreciate their willingness to not shy away from gore and violence but they gotta find a new plot. There's some good shots here, nothing crazy. There's also a couple of scenes that do cool things with the camera work. And of course these modern iterations of this franchise always deliver on the finale, even Rise had a cool ending scene. No one does final girls like modern Evil Dead

Damn Alain Delon one cool mf ain't he Good watch for sure. Beautiful film to look at. Amazing shots and framed so well. Acting was on point too. Dialogue was great. Pacing up until after the murder is great too, after that it started limping along a bit for me. It just felt like there should have been something else to it all and I don't exactly know what. I kept thinking it was all building to something more than just a murder and a kind of half assed investigation plot line. There were so many interesting avenues I was thinking it would take, for me the momentum was just completely cut by the murder and how everything played out after. Definitely worth the 2 hours though. The movie oozes with steeze, just a bit underwhelmed with how it wraps itself up.
