Napoleon
A near perfect movie, though it’s largely working within the constraints of a biopic. However, these constraints are transcended visually, through the inventive use of colour throughout, and especially through the technically impressive triptych finale. The first 30 minutes, showing Napoléon’s childhood, are perfect, and the use composition and colour in the film is unmatched.
