The movie utilized the landscape of the northwest really well to make it feel magical, the movie really made me feel homesick even with all the war and peril happening Also that shit got pretty wild for a mainstream animated feature, I’m shocked people were bringing their kids

4K full restoration at The Little, my debut at the theater. Much more insane than I remembered it, made me sad that we don’t get movies like this anymore, but joyous that I got to see this masterpiece uncensored and screened as Ken Russel intended for the first time. I’m also glad I actually managed to gather a party to watch it with, blessing Rose(as usual) and our gang for being down for this🙌

This is probably the best adaptation of the series outside the CGI films, mainly because it doesn’t try to just make a video game movie as much as it replicates the feeling of playing the games. Even the added comedy aspect worked, since it was reminiscent of one commentating the whole time to keep themselves calm during the more stressful or goofy parts(something I do myself when I play) Genuinely fun as hell.

Gorgeously chaotic and surreal, the only reason I wanted this to end at all was that I was watching this on the common area tv and a couple students came in and got a secondhand viewing of this movie(the movie is SFW at least but man)
