This 1-2 punch is really Cronenberg at the height of his powers for me. I appreciate the prescient nature of his earlier work, but these two are so tight.&nbsp;<br>

<p>Cronenberg’s most horrifying in my estimation. Jeremy Irons is incredible and the aesthetics are off the charts. The surgical gowns?!</p>

<p>Feels like a vitally important work in Cronenberg’s oeuvre. Obsession, self-delusion, and limerence. Hubristic imperialist gets what for.&nbsp;</p>
