Holy moly  This was a blind buy during the criterion sale and I’m so glad I bought it. This film and the new resurrection film by Bi-Gan, show a future where ppl are willing to sacrifice their humanity and all its discomforts and pain in the name of efficiency and safe rounded edges Technology has gotten so powerful that it has rivaled the power of intimacy and it’s only getting better and that’s a terrifying feeling While I’ve always been a tech person… a film like this is a great reminder to consistently challenge one’s relationship to it The use of the different cameras and aspect ratios to showcase the real world vs memories was just absolute chefs kiss Highly recommend
