The Shining

There are movies that alter your brain chemistry, this is one of them. Kubrick structured that story to make it flow like melted butter that constantly melts onto a slice of warm banana bread that just had you wanting more. I don’t think I’ve seen a performance like Jack Nicholson ever in my life, his facial expressions told novels in a matter of seconds.  While I was locked in the whole time, I couldn’t help but be Leo wanting to find the meme that’s cemented into history lol. I don’t quite think I’ll look at hallways, corners or straight lines the same ever again. I’ll be unpacking this one for a while
