Ferris Bueller's Day Off
Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.
Rarely do I watch a movie that makes me feel such happiness and content.
They're usualy released way before I was even born, but it's as if I was made to connect with them.
There's so much to love; I don't know what to mention first.
- It seems to be an unpopular opinion, but I enjoyed Ferris as a character. Simply because it's just a movie and I was thoroughly entertained.
He's witty and charming, somehow always having the deck stacked in his favor. The constant looks and comments he makes to us, the audience, are great.> *Oh, he's very popular Ed. The sportos, the motorheads, geeks, sluts, bloods, wastoids, dweebies, dickheads - they all adore him. They think he's a righteous dude.*
- The cinematography is surprisingly fabulous. It's smooth and very pleasant to watch. Of course, Chicago's beauty is a huge part of the movie's visual appeal. Narrow streets filled with tiny figures and colorful cars in between tall limestone buildings are one of many similar pictures you can find here.
- I like all the smaller stories told aside from the main one. For example, the guys at the parking lot who drive around the Ferrari all day instead of looking after it.
Rooney's adventure in and around the Bueller house is amazing. Greatly reminded me of the Home Alone movies.> *Pardon my French, but you're an asshole!*
- The trip to the museum is easily my favorite scene. It feels so blissful.
I love how the trio's friendship is portrayed. They have nice comical moments, but they also all question their future in different ways.
That's extremely relatable to me right now, as I have one year left until graduating too.
And I constantly think about how my friendships are probably going to end and what I'm even going to do after school.> You're still here? It's over! Go home…
