Losing Ground

Maybe the novelty of it is getting to me or maybe the fact that I watched this with my girlfriend (who was in love with it) But I thought this was awesome  Very thoughtful, very well observed, very adept at handling the dramatic shifts in a relationship. Bill Gunn is so good at balancing his playfulness and destructive inclinations.  While looking for some otherworldly magic, she finds it in cinematic expression - right in my film nerd heart.
